Bel Fuse, Inc. develops, fabricates, and markets a broad variety of products that connect, protect, and power electronic circuits. Headquartered in Jersey City, New Jersey, the conglomerate maintains a global footprint and serves its worldwide customer base with over 4,100 employees. Founded in 1949, the company has offices, research labs, and factories in the Americas, the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, and the Middle East.
Over the past 71 years, Bel has expanded its portfolio and technical expertise through consistent design breakthroughs and strategic acquisitions. Today, the company’s lineup features connectors, cable assemblies, circuit protectors, linear transformers, microwave components, power supplies, surface mount products, and transceivers. Manufacturers most commonly purchasing the firm’s offerings operate in the aerospace, industrial, medical, military, oil and gas, security, and telecom fields.
Bel’s catalog hosts a diverse array of products and its recently grown even bigger thanks to a couple of new part releases. The Cinch Connectivity Solutions subsidiary unveiled its Dura-Con shielded cable assemblies not long ago. The line’s plug shells feature EMI ground spring gaskets that enable a total 360° connection to the mating socket. The family of components is available in all eight M83513 shell sizes and in double terminated jumper, and single side terminated pigtail varieties.
The conglomerate’s Signal Transformer company recently expanded its catalog with its new Wireless Charging Transmission Coils (WCC).
Available in multiple and single windings, the WCCs boast pin cooling capability and tight control tolerance at ±1mm post-tin immersion. The series also has an operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, which makes it ideal for use in smart cars. However, OEMs can also utilize the coils when designing their latest personal electronics, wearables, robot cleaners, and drones.
By harnessing its global development capability and extensive experience, Bel will continue to help its clients meet their design challenges.
