Torex Semiconductor, Ltd. is a publicly-traded corporation specializing in the manufacture of power management ICs. Established in 1995, the Tokyo-headquartered firm has three manufacturing facilities in its home country and one located in Vietnam. The concern employs a staff of over 1,000 people to maintain its presence in Asia, Europe, and the United States.
Torex’s cutting-edge lineup features DC/DC converters, battery chargers, voltage detectors and regulators, sensors, power detectors, pushbutton controllers, LED drivers, load switches, Hall ICs, power MOSFETs, oscillators, and transient voltage suppressors. The company also offers state-of-the-art bridge, switching, fast recovery, Schottky, and Zener diodes.
The brand produces electronic components for application in the consumer electronics, automotive, industrial, computing, wireless, and medical sectors.
Decades ago, Torex’s skilled engineers developed a voltage detection platform that greatly improved the era’s portable cassette players. Today, its design teams harness their extensive knowledge of CMOS manufacturing processes to optimize its products. As a result, the firm can address its customers’ needs for smaller, lighter, and increasingly dense power components.
The brand recently expanded its portfolio with two new families of general-purpose N-channel MOSFETs. Both lines provide high speed switching with low on-state resistance in robust but compact packages. For added design versatility, the XP23x comes with a maximum voltage tolerance of 30V, while the XP26x series can withstand up to 60V.
The manufacturer also added to its catalog of automotive products with its micro step-down DC/DC converters. The AEC-Q100 compliant components have an input voltage range of 3V to 40V and embedded coils. Available in PWM control (XDL605) or PWM/PFM automatic switching assortments (XDL606), these packages are ideal for use in vehicle body control and infotainment center systems.
Torex’s passion for innovation has made it stand out in a highly competitive industry for over 25 years.
